Gülşen Güler

Gülşen Güler is a multi-disciplinary researcher and artist exploring the underlying assumptions, conflicts, and references that influence technology development. On TOMA, Gülşen had her first strokes in the "art world" while wearing various goggles informed by her lived experiences.

Through her creative practice, Gülşen is interested in the interplay between the certainties of data offered as a form of truth, the progressive promise of technological innovation, and the social, cultural, and historical contexts of the "digital age". As a researcher, she investigates the social effects of data-driven technologies. In her art practice, she investigates these notions in more fluid, experimental, and humorous ways including performance and video.
