Otherness is an imagined island/muse, discovered/met during a TOMA exercise. Part of an investigation: 3D - Geeky gimmick or tool for phenomenological filmmaking? Project funded by Otherness Arty Council.

Kate Sullivan is an artist filmmaker who’s award winning work has been shown at international film festivals, The BFI, ICA, and LUX.

Kate works with moving image, photography, stereography and sound to create experimental portraits of people and place. Her playful hybrid documentaries explore the intersection of portrait and landscape - often questioning dominant ideologies through the celebration of ‘eccentrics’, amateurs, makers, world-builders, incongruity and the repurposing of tools and objects.
