Kate Sullivan (EC)
Kate Sullivan
Kate Sullivan’s award-winning work has been shown at international film festivals, The BFI, ICA, and LUX. They studied animation at UAL (2001) and have since worked as a freelancer in the animation industry. Current work includes the facilitation of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary project exploring and archiving the work of late computer animation pioneer, Tony Pritchett.
Kate works with digital and analogue moving image, stereography and sound to create collaborative hybrid documentary portraits. Their experimental, animistic work blurs boundaries between portrait and landscape, exploring co-authorship with equipment and the inanimate. Recurring content (inescapable not intentional) includes world-builders, obsessives, ‘eccentrics’, otherness, amateurs and the everyday sublime.
