Neeral Bhatt
Neeral Bhatt is an artist based in Essex. She recently participated in a digital residency with Mineral House Media, and has shown work in Dodomu gallery’s online exhibitions ‘Colour Field: Blue’ and ‘Lines and Other Forms’. The mediums she is currently exploring include text,textiles, animation and painting.
The work in this show is inspired by my nostalgia for the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and its fictional space station. I have imagined meaningful objects that convey the hopes and dreams of its characters. It is my first reflection on the allure of science fiction, and my attempt to understand its pull on me.
