Hava and Maz discuss whether or not 'social practice', a form of art-making which generally involves the artist/s working with community/ies they may or may not be previously involved with, is problematic (spoiler alert, it is!). We think about why it's become such a standard model for contemporary art, who benefits, who suffers and how it's affected broader ideas of art and 'community'.
